I did this because I wanted to paint a face with a new technical approach, and I thought it would be easier to do so in a repeat, as having done it the old way once there would be little temptation to do it the old way again. I did the same with Argentina, which repeats one of the figures in Kiwi Artist Imagines The Mediterranean.
